Delinquency & Dependency Files
Most delinquency and dependency court proceedings are open to the public but all of the files are confidential.
For access to information in a court file, the requesting party must come into the Juvenile Division with photo identification.
The following is a list of who may inspect or receive information regarding a Delinquency or Dependency file; they must be a party to the case:
- Child
- Parents
- Attorney of Record
- State Attorney
- Guardian Ad Litem
- Law Enforcement Agencies
- Department of Children and Families and its Designees
- Department of Juvenile Justice and its Designees
- Parole Commission
- Department of Corrections
As mandated by Florida Law, we cannot give out any information over the phone or on the internet concerning a juvenile case. To view the file, the authorized person must come to our office with photo identification.
